Codemasters have just launched the community website for their upcoming squad based horror first person shooter (FPS), Clive Barker's Jericho.
The new site provides some background on the game and includes a collection of downloadable media, a news section and a public forum.
A flash site promoting the game has also been launched, allowing you to explore some of the look and feel of Jericho before its launch this autumn.
Jericho is set in the modern, Middle Eastern city of Al-Khali, which is unfortunately also ground zero for an assault of ancient evil upon the Earth.
The Jericho of the title refers to a seven-man strike force tasked with protecting government interests from paranormal forces. Obviously, anyone who has played F.E.A.R will be in familiar territory here, but the publisher is making some unique claims of it's own with the game, promising an "overload of sensory horror."
In addition to the latest weaponry and tactics, Team Jericho is also trained in the arcane arts, each team-member being experts in different disciplines, such as telekinesis, pyromancy, blood magic and exorcism.
Clive Barker's Jericho is scheduled for release on 26 October 2007 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
