Square Enix today officially revealed Hitman Absolution, slated for release in 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Absolution features IO Interactive’s new proprietary Glacier 2 technology. The game has been built from the ground up and features a cinematic story, a distinctive art direction and an original game design, according to a press announcement. You will get the same classic gameplay plus some new (unannounced) features.
The game follows Agent 47, an assassin on his most dangerous contract ever. He’s faced with betrayal, he’s hunted by police, and he’ll find himself at the center of a conspiracy. You can check out the brief teaser trailer below.
