Prototype 2 RADNET Edition detailed

31 January 2012

Radical Entertainment has lifted the wraps off Prototype 2’s RADNET Edition, giving early adopters the chance to bag a boatload of extra content for the shape-shifting sequel.

Pre-order your copy of the game and you’ll get your grubby paws on a one-time code to access RADNET, giving you access to 55 pieces of extra content. RADNET functions like Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network, and unloads extra content over a seven-week period following Prototype 2's launch.

Among the goodies up for grabs include in-game Events, Challenges, Avatars, Items, Dynamic Themes and Behind-the-Scenes videos, plus bonus Mutations for the main campaign.

Furthermore, those of you who participate in all weekly RADNET challenges and events will unlock a special reward, though Radical’s keeping mum on that particular detail until March.

Radical Entertainment studio boss Ken Rosman commented: “Radical Entertainment has always focused on bringing long lasting fun to its fans, and PROTOTYPE 2’s RADNET content is our way of rewarding the game’s most loyal supporters – the early adopters, the one’s who will replay it over and over again.”

“We think this is great because we’re giving our fans hours of additional gameplay outside PROTOTYPE 2’s main narrative, and cool rewards – all delivered weekly following the game’s launch!”

Prototype 2 introduces an all-new hero in the shape of Sgt. James Heller, who is on the hunt for Alex Mercer, protagonist of the original Prototype. Players will wield an array of deadly generic powers as they stomp over all adversity across the wastelands of post-rival New York Zone.

Prototype 2 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on April 24, 2012.
