Martin Binfield, an ex-employee at Sony Cambridge Studio, has revealed via his online CV that development of a sequel to Heavenly Sword was in the works in 2008 before ultimately being canned.
Rumors of Heavenly Sword 2 have been doing the rounds for the past couple of years, and as early as last year the game was supposedly being prepped for an E3 reveal.
This didn’t happen obviously, and Binfield’s CV confirms (via Eurogamer) that the game was quietly scrapped some time ago before developer Ninja Theory started on Enslaved.
Elsewhere, Binfield’s animation reel contains a host of footage on cancelled projects, including The Getaway 3, an unnamed science fiction project and a canned Lifestyle game.
