The largest video game retailer out there, GameStop (AKA EBgames) will be removing PSP games from 25% of its North American stores.
"The consolidation is occurring to maximize the merchandising space in the smallest 25% of stores," said a GameStop representative to Kotaku. "It will also provide a greater assortment in those stores that will continue to carry the category."
We’re not too upset by this news, as it’s not difficult to see the reasoning behind this decision. Seeing as the Vita is out, and that the PSP hasn’t been doing too well, this isn’t the most surprising news.
