Watch Dogs, the highly ambitious open-world actioner from Ubisoft Montreal, is getting a little extra help on the development front from Ubisoft Reflections, it has emerged.
According to GI.biz, Ubisoft’s Montreal studio is lead developer on the title, though Newcastle-based Reflections is now collaborating on the project too.
The U.K. developer has previously cut its teeth on the Driver franchise and also contributed to Far Cry 3, which is also in development at Ubisoft Montreal.
Said Giselle Stewart, UK general manager for Ubisoft: “Reflections has been attentively watching the reaction to Watch Dogs at E3.”
“The studio is very excited to be working with Ubisoft Montreal on this new IP, and is currently expanding its Newcastle-based team developing for the title.”
Watch Dogs is scheduled to ship on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in 2013.
