Free DLC coming to Pure Chess this summer, you can name it

12 July 2012

One of the first downloadable games to have graced both PlayStation Network and Vita, Pure Chess, is seeing a new batch of free DLC coming this summer.

The add-on—which has yet to be named—will offer players a new chess set available in both metal and plastic materials, should you get bored of the current chess pieces you’re playing with.

RipStone Games is also asking you, the gamer, to come up with a name for this DLC pack. Simply tweet @RipstoneGames and include the #PureChessComp hashtag with your suggestions; you can tweet as many times as you’d like. Voting is open now and ends on July 14.

What’s more is that RipStone will also be choosing 50 participants at random to receive the game for either PS3 or Vita, along with currently available DLC ‘Park’ and ‘Forest.’

Pure Chess is actually the only chess game available on Vita and PSN, so we implore you to at least check it out.
