Insomniac Games has sprinkled some fresh Ratchet & Clank: QForce (known as Full Front Assault in the U.S.) info over the EU PlayStation Blog today.
Due out on PlayStation Network later this year, QForce will return to the series’ classic camera and third-person antics while introducing a number of new mechanics into the mix. Chief among these includes the tower defense component, allowing you to build and defend your base against enemy invasions.
These new elements, says Insomniac, add a fresh layer of strategy and decision-making to the proceedings, as players attempt to overthrow the enemy while defending their own turf.
Players will be able to take control of three characters, namely Ratchet, Clank and Captain Qwark, as they take the fight to an alien army across five levels set on three planets. QForce will allow for co-op via split-screen or online play.
Replay value appears to be of paramount importance to this latest Ratchet & Clank adventure, with Insomniac revealing QForce is packed with upgrades, character skins and unlockable content. Also part of this is a new online mode that the developer plans to reveal at a later date.
Stay tuned to PSU.com for more details as we get them.
