Mass Effect 3 looks set to receive further tweaks to its already-controversial ending by way of the forthcoming Leviathan DLC pack.
That’s at least according to script information unearthed in the Extended Cut DLC that indicates fresh dialogue will be unlocked for those who have the Leviathan pack installed. Details can be found below, though be warned – spoilers are aplenty.
As the game’s first batch of single-player DLC, Leviathan will detail the creators behind the Reapers, subsequently allowing Shepard to quiz Star Child regarding the Leviathans at the climax of Mass Effect 3. Here, he’ll be given new options to find out more about the ancient race’s fate.
A full list of Star Child’s dialogue extracted from the Extended Cut can be found here.
Elsewhere, it has also emerged that Mass Effect 3’s next chunk of single-player content could revolve around the reclamation of Omega from Cerberus. This mission was actually on the cards at some point, as dialogue to commence the side quest is still buried within the game.
Furthermore, a list of unreleased gun mods from the Firefight pack DLC have further hinted that the Omega mission is in the pipeline. Specifically, the list mentions a series of unknown maps pertaining to the mods’ locations; some are named ‘Lev’ (Leviathan) while others are labelled Omg, which is the code used for Omega's location in Mass Effect 2.
Nothing official has been announced as of yet, but it certainly sounds like we could be revisiting Omega at some point in the near future.
