Japan’s Famitsu magazine has dropped a fresh batch of details on SEGA’s upcoming gangster-‘em-up sequel, Yakuza 5.
The publication confirmed that the latest instalment in the multi- million selling franchise will include a playable version of Taiko Drum Master from Namco Bandai.
Released in 2004, the rhythm-based title will feature in the arcades located throughout Yakuza 5, and includes tracks such as Mappy Ondo, Yumeiro Taiko Iro, and Shinsekai Yori.
Those of you who were fans of Dreamcast classic Shenmue will probably be in familiar territory here; SEGA included numerous playable arcade classics in the Yu Suzuki adventure title, such as Space Harrier and Hang-On.
Taiko Drum Master isn’t a SEGA-made game though, making its inclusion here quite interesting -- what else can we expect?
Yakuza 5 is pencilled in for release exclusively on PlayStation 3 in Japan this winter. A western release has yet to be locked down.
