Kojima Productions has teased that this week’s Metal Gear event in Japan is set to make waves in the videogames industry.
Due to take place on August 30, the special event will take place in Tokyo and among other things will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear franchise, which originally debuted on MSX2 back in 1987.
Series creator Hideo Kojima has already promised to show off his new Fox Engine at the bash, and Internet speculation has also suggested we can expect the announcement of Metal Gear Solid 5 to drop too.
Speaking in the firm’s latest podcast over the weekend, Kojima Productions’ Chris Johns said there’s “a lot of things to look forward to next week, not just for fans, but I think the industry’s gonna be shook by what we’re going to be able to present here.”
