Disney Interactive released a dev diary covering the additions and intentions to adding Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as a playable character to Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.
Disney's Epic Mickey 2 The Power of Two is a cooperative platformer focusing on the past of Walt Disney's historic animated legacy. This time around Oswald the Lucky Rabbit joins in on the fun and brings with him a whole set of new abilities. Oswald can use his ears to fly to unreachable places, use his remote control to disable the animatronic enemies, and to reprogramm electronics.
Like the original, the game takes place in the wasteland, a retirement home for forgotten cartoon characters. With the return of the Mad Doctor, warning them of even more danger to come, Mickey must take up his paint brush and enlist the help of Oswald in order to stop his plans.
Epic Mickey will be fully voiced, the first for the series as the last game payed tribute to the classic eschewed voice acting and silence that made the original black and white cartoons so popular. Fans of classic Disney will have lot to love about this game as it features a lot of hidden gems and characters from Disney's Past, including scrapped ideas and characters that never saw the light of day.
Epic Mickey 2 is one to watch as the Lead Designer, Warren Spector helped designed player's choice's and consequence's in the cult classics System Shock and Deus Ex.Again they are important here as you can play the whole game without ever truly defeating a single enemy, thanks to Mickey's ability to befriend ever enemy and Oswalds's ability to take over animatronics. Enjoy the diary below, and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will release for PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 Nov 18.
