Electronic Arts’ Frank Gibeau has admitted the company isn’t exactly over the moon with the critical response to its FPS Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
The game topped the U.K. All Format Charts upon release last week, though nonetheless took a battering from critics, with the shooter hovering around the 50 per cent mark on Metacritic.
Speaking in an investors call this week, Gibeau admitted that reviews for the shooter are below the firm’s expectations – though still remained confident in the game’s performance this holiday season.
“We take product quality very seriously,” said the executive. “We are not happy with how Warfighter has been received.”
Medal of Honor: Warfighter once again sees gamers witnessing the actions of the Tier 1 Operators as they embark on a gun-toting, globe-trotting adventure that sees you battling foes across Bosnia, Pakistan and Somalia.
The game is available now for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
