Hurricane Sandy knocks offline Guitar Hero, Call of Duty servers

31 October 2012

Hurricane Sally has hit the East Coast pretty hard, and even the gaming industry is feeling it with Activision having to re-establish connectivity with a few of its big-name titles.

Due to lost power, connection centers for the games below are offline:

-Guitar Hero (all titles and platforms)

-Call of Duty: World at War (all platforms)

-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)

-Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3, PC, Wii)

In response to this unfortunate event, Acivision posted on its support page:

"Due to the hurricane that affected the East Coast of the United States, multiplayer gaming with some of our online title is experiencing connectivity issues. We appreciate your patience."

Surely, if you're on the East Coast, you have bigger things to worry about, but feel free to use the space below if you've been effected by the servers going offline.
