U.K. publication ShortList has revealed a few new snippets of information on Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V.
According to the magazine, the open-world title will star a retired East Coast gangster, who moves to the game’s setting of Los Santos to make a new life for himself.
However, the unnamed protagonist instead finds himself inexorably lured back into a world of crime – and hey presto, we have another excuse to play a GTA game.
The reports also mesh nicely with a voiceover from the GTA V debut trailer: “I wanted to retire from what I was doing, that line of work. Be a good guy for once, a family man,” it states. “But you know how it is…”
Elsewhere, U.S. Rapper The Game told Wired 96.5 (via VideoGamer) that he will be reprising his role as Mark “B-Dup” Wayne from GTA: San Andreas in the sequel.
“They [Rockstar] called man, and we did a little bit of work with them,” he commented. “Once you in a video game, you struck gold, man.”
