PS Plus comes to PS Vita, North American free games revealed

13 November 2012

Earlier today, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced that PlayStation Plus will be coming to PlayStation Vita on November 21. The service's debut in North America will come one day earlier, on November 20, and brings with it a different lineup of free games.

The six free PS Vita games that PS Plus subscribers will get on day one bring the Instant Game Collection catalog up to 18 titles. These six titles will be Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Jet Set Radio HD, Gravity Rush, WipEout 2048, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!, and PSP strategy-RPG Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. With only Uncharted, Gravity Rush, and Chronovolt confirmed for EU subscribers, the debut of PS Plus on PS Vita is looking decidedly more enticing on yankee soil. There's a whole heap of value contained in these six titles, and one of them - Jet Set Radio HD - will be free the same day it's released.

As with the EU PS Plus migration, this update comes alongside a new system software (v2.00) that will be available for download on Monday, November 19. With this update comes the ability to send and receive Yahoo! and Google email, enhanced web browser functionality, control remapping for PSone Classics, wireless syncing of content between PS Vita and PC, and more.

What are you most excited to download when the PS Store update goes live next week? Does the addition of PS Vita perks make PS Plus worth it for you? Sound off in the comments below.
