Tecmo Koei has pinned a March 22, 2013 U.K. release date to its upcoming PlayStation Vita brawler Dead or Alive 5 Plus.
Arriving two days after its Japanese counterpart, DoA 5 Plus includes a wealth of new features, including an exclusive first-person mode and touchscreen controls.
In addition, the handheld version is expected to remain on par with its PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 cousins, with developer Team Ninja promising the PS Vita version will maintain the “high-quality visuals” and 60fps frame rate of the home console release.
Speaking with Famitsu, producer Yosuke Hayashi commented, “It’s still in the development phase, but right now the current build we have runs at almost 60 frames per second.”
"We do not want the Vita port be seen by players as being inferior to the console versions, so we want to keep the game's high-quality visuals and have it run silky smooth."
Dead or Alive 5 was released on consoles in September 2012. Check out our review of the game here.
