Nordic Games has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Painkiller Hell & Damnation will be released on April 5, 2013. The game was previously pegged for a late January launch.
The shooter will come in two flavours: Standard and Collector’s Edition. The former will set you back £24.99, while the latter adds some extra goodies into the mix for £34.99.
Released on PC in October last year, Painkiller was developed by The Farm 51 and utilizes the Unreal Engine 3. In addition to a single-player campaign, gamers can also tuck into several multiplayer modes, including dedicated co-op offering.
Said Reinhard Pollice, production and business development boss at Nordic Games:
“We have been working around the clock to bring the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game in line with the quality and standard of the PC game.”
“There has been a slight delay so that the console communities can enjoy the fiendishly ghoulish experience that we know they want and deserve. In taking this additional time to add the final touches, we know that players will realise that the best things do come to those who wait!”
