Resident Evil: Revelations has been confirmed for release on PC and consoles.
The game originally launched on Nintendo 3DS just under a year ago to critical acclaim, and this spring's release marks the first time it will be available outside the Nintendo handheld and in high definition.
The game follows Jill Valentine and her new partner Parker Luciani on their search for Chris Redfield, in events that transpire between Resident Evil 4 and 5. Revelations on the 3DS added a new feature to the game by giving players the ability to swim and fight enemies under water, as well as alternate aiming perspectives.
The HD upgrade will include improved graphics, sound and lighting, and Hunk will be playable in the game's cooperative Raid mode. The console and PC version will also feature a new difficulty level above those available in the 3DS title, a new enemy, new weapons in Raid and new custom weapon parts for Raid mode.
Resident Evil: Revelations will be released in North America on May 21 and in Europe on May 24 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
