February 2013 has become a landmark month for PlayStation fans, when they saw the future of gaming with the PlayStation 4 unveiling in New York City. Looks like the world took notice as well -- Sony's PS4 sizzle reel trailer, which closed the NYC conference, took the #1 spot on YouTube's February ads leaderboard.
YouTube's monthly ads leaderboards are determined "by looking at ads uploaded within the month that that most moved audiences through a winning combination of promotion (paid ads) and popularity (organic views)."
The PS4 trailer faced tough competition from a number of Super Bowl commercials that made the list. This is at least an indicator that the public is at least interested in the next-generation of gaming.
