Capcom and development studio WayForward Technologies will bring DuckTales Remastered, an HD remake of the classic NES sidescroller, to PlayStation Network this summer.
The news broke at PAX East 2013 earlier today, where Capcom announced that DuckTales Remastered will be a love letter to fans of the original DuckTales. Everything from the cartoon’s iconic theme song to the game’s 8-bit audio tracks will be intact and remastered, alongside hand-drawn sprites that exist in 3D-rendered levels. Disney voice actors will also bring their talents to the remake.
A few new additions, including a tutorial and Scrooge’s Money Bin, round out a PSN package that will cost $14.99 when it launches this summer. No word yet on PS Vita support.
