Assassin’s Creed fans are content to gobble up yearly instalments in the action-adventure franchise, according to Ubisoft Montreal boss Yannis Mallat.
Speaking during an interview with Eurogamer, Mallat said that the company will continue to release annualized entries in the multi-million dollar selling series until gamers grown tired of it.
"The players will tell us," he said, in response to whether fans are getting bored of the franchise. "Right now there are more and more coming into the franchise, so I don't see that day."
"People expect more and more of that content. So it's natural to be able to provide that content. The gamers are happy and it's our job to make them happy."
Mallat then observed how ideas are kept fresh thanks to continuously switching up developers each year.
"The team that has delivered Assassin's Creed 3, they're not working on Black Flag. They're resting. They are refreshing their minds and then working on something else that is not announced."
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is the next entry in the series, and is scheduled to ship in late October for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii U and Xbox 360.
