Dark Horse Comics has announced that their prequel comic to the upcoming game The Last of Us has proved so popular that issue 1 has now sold out and is going to a second print run.
The Dark Horse site has this to say about the comic:
"The comics-exclusive prequel to the new game from Naughty Dog! Creative director Neil Druckmann teams with breakout comics star Faith Erin Hicks to present the story of thirteen-year-old Ellie’s life in a violent, postpandemic world. A newcomer at a military boarding school, Ellie is reluctant to toe the line, which earns her new enemies—and her first glimpse of the world outside."
Issues 1 is currently in comic book shops, Issue 2 is due May 29, Issue 3 hits stores on June 26, and the finale will be available July 31.
Dark Horse Comics also announced The Last of Us artbook, seen below, is now ready for pre-order.
"Naughty Dog Studios and Dark Horse proudly present the essential companion to The Last of Us, a richly detailed and compelling game set in a postpandemic world where humans have become an endangered species. Featuring concept art, character designs, and astonishing settings and landscapes, The Art of The Last of Us provides a unique look at one of the gaming world’s most eagerly anticipated titles."
