MGM films has announced today that the reboot of the Tomb Raider film franchise will involve Buffy the Vampire slayer writer and producer Marti Noxon.
As well as working on Buffy, Noxon has worked on the films Fright Night and I Am Number 4. Her TV credits include working as a producer on Grey's Anatomy, it's spin off Private Practice, and as a consulting producer on Mad Men.
Hollywood's reboot of the popular gaming franchise as a film is being developed through GK films by Graham King who picked up the Tomb Raider rights after Paramount let them expire.
The last Tomb Raider game was itself a reboot that was well received selling 3 million copies and gaining critical acclaim for bringing new life to the franchise, so hopes are high that a new Tomb Raider film will repeat its success.
