Watchdogs video showcases multiplayer hacking

on 21 June 2013

Ubisoft has launched a gameplay video detailing the functionality of Watch Dog’s multiplayer. Players face off in a game of cat and mouse, where one player is placed into the game world of the other.

The video shows the player controlling the game’s main protagonist Aiden Pearce as he is instructed to hunt down another player and stop them, either through technological savvy or by simply killing them. Once Aiden’s mission is finished, whatever the outcome may be, the roles are switched and Aiden is now the hacker being hunted. As shown in the footage, a skilled enough player can finish a match without their opponent even knowing they were there.

Ubisoft removed the video from YouTube shortly after it was posted, but they clearly weren’t quick enough as Geek Mundo reposted the video. Check out the video below to see the dueling hacker multiplayer of Watch Dogs.

Watch Dogs will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC this November and Q4 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
