Square Enix has confirmed cross-save support for the forthcoming high-definition revamps of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.
Yoshinori Kitase, director of the Final Fantasy series, confirmed the news in his presentation at the Japan Expo in Paris this week (via RPGSite).
Final Fantasy X and its sequel will be released on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, though in the latter’s case it will be available separately as opposed to a bundle release. Thanks to cross-save support, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off on either version of the games.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that the HD remakes will feature a new ending sequence running 30 minutes.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 is due out later this year.
