Infinity Ward has revealed on Twitter that the forthcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature some form of co-op mode.
Posting in response to a fan asking if Spec Ops would make a return from the Modern Warfare franchise, the studio’s community coordinator, Candice Capen, wrote:
“We’ll have a cooperative mode of sort, but we’re not announcing it yet and I’ve no clue when/if we will.”
Fans have been clamouring for a full-blown co-op campaign in the Call of Duty franchise for some time now. While the above Tweet does confirm that co-op will be featured in the latest title, it doesn’t give any indication as to what capacity it will return.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be deployed on November 5 for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. Next-generation versions are also in development.
