Sony chief financial officer and executive vice president Masaru Kato reported that some polls are showing 80% of customers prefer the upcoming PlayStation 4 over the Xbox One and Wii U during the company's latest earnings call.
"This is very encouraging," said Kato. "And we are doing our best to secure enough chipsets and capacity to" meet demand at launch."
As for any further details about the polls, Kato did not provide any further information or comments.
Consumers' preference of the PS4 has been show in other consumer surveys, such as Strategy Analytics' report showing the PS4 will have a 50% sales lead over the Xbox One.
