If you could improve one thing about PlayStation Vita what would it be?

In a PlayStation Universe poll, readers have said that they’d like to see more and better quality games on PlayStation Vita.

‘Better games’ gained 40 percent of the vote when readers were asked: If you could improve one thing about PlayStation Vita what would it be? The second most popular choice was for more games, voted for by 30 percent of the PlayStation community.

Approximately 28 percent of the vote was split across other factors such as improved multi-tasking, the fixing of the 500 server error, the price and cheaper memory. 70 percent however, believe it’s the games that are currently letting the hardware down.

“We've got plenty of games, but not enough killer apps and highly marketable standouts,” writes KyleOnTheRun.

“I'm in with "Better Games," writes EchoNovember. “I bought this to have a console in my hand not a uber-phone that doesn't well "phone". I would be even willing to pay full pop ($60) for them if they were up there in quality with Uncharted:Golden Abyss, AC:3 Liberation(minus MP), and Killzone:Mercenary (I hope, because for the love of gawd I don't want this to end up like Resistance:Burning Skies). These are the type AAA games I expected. “

FatesServant voted for more games but believes that would spur more sales on the handheld and thus lead to better quality games.

“More games means more quality games and more lackluster games,” he says.” But the variety is what the Vita really needs. Not to mention that so long as games sell, whether they are the best or not, new developers will jump on board which can lead to an influx of quality games. So more games for certain.”

Reports suggest that Vita has struggled to sell outside of Japan and that Sony plans to revamp the handheld in time for the release of the PlayStation 4 later this year. According to one rumour, there’s a new Vita SKU in the works that will sport a larger screen, more RAM and host a HDMI connection. According to this poll though, that’s not what gamers are looking for and unless there’s an influx of more higher quality games in 2014, Vita could be in trouble.
