It was today announced at Gamescom that Battlefield 4 would be continuing the Premium service that was introduced in Battlefied 3, and it's wealth of content was revealed.
Battlefield 4 carries on franchise Premium service

The major content revelation was the official announcement of the names of all five themed expansion packs and, via press release, their release dates. Details of previously announced China Rising and Second Assault were given, the former with a December release date and the latter with no date but said to reach Xbox One first. Naval Strike is due in Spring 2014, with Dragon's Teeth and Final Stand following in Summer 2014. Naval Strike will focus on naval-orientated combat, whereas Dragon's Teeth will be focused on urban levels. The content of Final Stand is, for the time being, "confidential".
The expansion packs are just the tip of the iceberg, with plenty of other content. This includes weekly releases, twelve battlepacks and exclusive customisation options. Members will also gain two-week early access to new vehicles, weapons, game modes and expansion packs, plus priority position in server queues.
Further details were given on the press release revealing how the transition between current-generation and next-generation will be dealt with. Gameplay statistics will be transferable, but seemingly only between current-gen consoles and their next-gen equivalents. Premium membership is also transferable, presumably between the same consoles.
The service will cost $50. Battlefield 4 will be released on October 29th for PC, PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 and is also due to be released at a later date on PlayStation 4 and XBOX One.
