Square Enix has confirmed that the forthcoming Director’s Cut edition of Deus Ex: Human Revolution won’t cost you the price of a full retail game.
Speaking with Joystiq, a representative for the company said of the game, “it won’t be $60.” Retail listings for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the action-RPG put the game at $29.99.
Originally believed to be a Wii U-exclusive, Deus Ex: Human Revolution features tweaked boss battles (the original encounters were panned by critics), A.I. and visuals, plus the Wii U version includes exclusive GamePad functionality. The game was confirmed for PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in May.
No release date has been confirmed as of yet, but the Square representative noted that it will launch “soon.”
