Hideo Kojima wants the characters in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain to be more erotic in order to sell figurines and encourage people to dress up as their favourite characters.
Kojima made his thoughts known via Twitter where he said that during the development phase he has encouraged the game’s art director to follow his erotic vision.
"I've been ordering to Yoji to make the character more erotic, and he did it well," said Kojima. "Recently I've been making characters this way. I create the setting thoroughly, how he/she spent early life, name, style, favorite phrase, fashion, action, to stand the character out."

One of the characters, Quiet, the mute female sniper, will be revealed in all her CG glory on Friday at 3am E.T which will give cosplayers plenty of time to get their costumes ready to show off at the Tokyo Game Show on September 19, 2013.
"The initial target is to make [you] want to do cosplay or its figurine to sell well," said Kojima.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom is due for release on current and next-gen consoles. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
