Players will be given “a generous trial of the game with two levels included,” said the company. The demo will be released in North America on October 1 and October 2 in PAL territories.

Sony has offered a description of the stages featured in the demo on the PlayStation Blog, which can be seen below.

-Jodie & Aiden: Join a very young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment at the Department of Paranormal Activities. As officials put her abilities to the test, you take charge of a mysterious, invisible entity.

-Hunted: Skip forward a number of years and you need to help Jodie escape the clutches of government agents as the mysterious entity unleashes its truly astonishing powers.

Beyond: Two Souls is due out exclusively on PlayStation 3 in the U.S. on October 8 and in Europe on October 11. The game stars Ellen Page as lead protagonist Jodie Holmes, and also features Willem Dafoe as a central character.
