Electronic Arts has confirmed that Battlefield 4’s open beta will kick off for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on October 1.
This gives players access to the Conquest mode on the Siege of Shanghai map.
In addition, Peter Moore, EA’s chief operating officer, confirmed a slew of release dates for next-generation versions of Battlefield 4, FIFA 14 and Madden NFL 25. The trio will hit PlayStation 4 on November 12 in the U.S. and November 29 in Europe, and arrive on Xbox One on November 19 and November 21 in the U.S. and Europe, respectively.
However, while current-generation versions of all games arrive before their next-gen counterparts, EA is encouraging that users upgrade to the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
For example, boxed copies of Battlefield 4 on PS3 include a voucher with a unique code, allowing you to upgrade to the PS4 release for just £10 on the PlayStation Store.
Various trade-in incentives are also being offered at retailers, including GAME.
