Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation HD will be released on January 14 for PlayStation 3.
Originally released on the PlayStation Vita, Liberation HD will retail for $19.99 features spruced up graphics as well as revamped missions that improve pacing and challenge. Overall, the developer’s goal is to improve upon the original release and adapt the gameplay and missions to maximize player enjoyment.
New missions pertaining to heroine Aveline de Grandpre’s three personas – Assassin, Lady and Servant – have also been added, fleshing out the female assassin’s background.
Liberation takes place at the tail end of the French and Indian War, with the action set in New Orleans in the years 1765-1780. As Aveline, players will dive into the war between the Templars and the assassin order, proving a key component in the Louisiana Rebellion that forces the Spanish and Templars out of the city.
