Sony has announced that microtransactions will be present in the upcoming Gran Turismo 6.
Gamers will be given the option to purchase in-game credits using cold hard cash to boost their income and purchase car parts and vehicles.
Sony confirmed that the option to buy credits will be included at launch, and can be picked up via the PlayStation Store or at retail. Credits will be available in 500,000, 1 million, 2.5 million or seven million denominations.
Prices for the in-game credits have yet to be announced, however.
Elsewhere, Sony has announced that gamers can now pre-order the Polyphony Digital racer on the PS Store in both the Standard and Special Edition flavors. The latter features 20 extra cars, custom PSN avatars, paint chips, race suits and race helmets.
Players will receive the Precision Pack for free by pre-ordering either version.
GT6 is scheduled to launch in December exclusively for PlayStation 3.
