Sony’s PlayStation 4 finally launches in the U.K. tomorrow, and if you’re still eager to get your hands on the next-generation console but haven’t pre-ordered, you might be in for a chance.
While pre-ordering is obviously the smartest way to guarantee your console on day-one, Sony has ensured that a number of outlets will be stocking its new system at launch on a first-come, first-serve basis.
So, if you want to be playing a shiny new PS4 this weekend but have to risk going out and buying one off the shelves, then see below for all the details you’ll need. Just make sure you are first in the queue!

SONY LAUNCH EVENT (PS4 Lounge, Covent Garden, 17 Bedford Street)
Sony’s official PS4 launch bash is giving punters the chance to purchase a PS4, though you’ll have to be quick as queuing starts later this evening.
Argos is giving consumers the opportunity to reserve a PS4 from midnight, so head over to its official website to get your name down.
The U.K. supermarket giant is selling PS4 consoles without the need to pre-order. Stores will be opening from midnight with a few exceptions, so have a butcher’s at the list here to see where your nearest store is located.
The video game retail giant is stocking PS4 at 300 stores across the United Kingdom, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This includes the Killzone: Shadow Fall Mega Pack. However, it hasn't provided any details as to what stores will be stocking Sony's new console.
Gamers can visit one of 360 PS4-ready stores from tomorrow to buy their console. Not only that, but they’re shaving £10 off a PS4 title when purchased alongside Sony’s new hardware (there’s a limit of one copy of each game per console).
Tesco has quickly become a Jack-of-all-Trades over the past few years, so it’s no surprise to see the supermarket chain offering PS4s off of shelves for launch day. Check out the store locator to see if your local outlet has stock.
In addition to the standard console for £349, Tesco is also offering a PS4 with Killzone: Shadow Fall or Knack (£385), or a ‘Gamer Bundle’ for £439.
