Capcom has announced that Ultra Street Fighter IV will be released digitally for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in summer 2014.
The beat-‘em-up expansion adds five characters to the SFIV roster, along with six new stages and a rebalanced gameplay system.
In total, players will be able to get to grips with 44 characters, including new faces Hugo, Poison, Elena and Rolento. The fifth combatant’s identity remains a mystery for now, however.
The digital upgrade version of USFIV retails for £11.99/$14.99 and will be first out the gate in early June, followed by a packaged version of the game in August alongside the PC release.
Street Fighter IV launched in arcades five years ago and made the transition to home consoles in February 2009. Since then, we’ve seen two expansions: Super Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.
