Minecraft, the phenomenon that has quickly become one of the most-played titles of our time, is finally hitting PlayStation 3 this week.
On the PlayStation Blog, Mojang's Owen Hill has given some details regarding the PS3 version of the popular title. This edition of Minecraft is the same one that has released on the Xbox 360, though it remains unknown whether or not it will have any cross-compatibility with the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation Vita versions or even cross-buy. Also, no pricing was announced.
Also hinted at is the addition of texture and skin packs for the game, as well as PlayStation-exclusive content. Both are probably a given since the Xbox 360 version has some exclusive content too. Regarding the PS4 and Vita versions, the situation is that Mojang will give us more information in the New Year, with the focus being on the PS3 release at the moment.
Understandable, but you can't help but think a Minecraft PS Vita bundle would have been a good idea for the holidays.
