Ubisoft has announced Far Cry: The Wild Expedition for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
The French publisher confirmed that the release isn’t actually a new game, but rather a compilation that features Far Cry, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon.
Far Cry: Wild Expedition is scheduled for release on February 14 for a wallet-friendly price point, though Ubisoft has yet to go into detail on that particular matter. It also marks the first time the original Far Cry has been made available on home consoles.
The most recent core entry in the series, Far Cry 3, was released in November 2012 to critical and commercial success. An expansion, Blood Dragon, hit PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE in April last year.
While many fans have called for a full-fledged sequel, Ubisoft has yet to formally announce any plans for a new Far Cry title.
