The creator behind The Last of Us has confirmed that the planned movie adaptation of the post-apocalyptic adventure will adhere closely to the video game.
Speaking with IGN at the BAFTAs yesterday evening, Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann commented:
"It’s an adaptation of the story of The Last of Us," he said. "As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film... We’re not sure yet. We’re only just scratching the surface."
Elsewhere, Druckmann revealed that The Last of Us will receive a third slice of multiplayer DLC, though wouldn’t divulge any more details on the rumored sequel.
"We don’t know yet," he said of the The Last of Us 2 brainstorming. "We're still trying to figure it out. We’re brainstorming some stuff, so we’ll see where that goes."
