The PlayStation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has comfortably outsold its Xbox console counterparts, according to the latest Chart-Track data.
Kojima Productions’ stealth-action title, which takes the series into open world territory for the first time, saw 58 per cent of all copies sold on Sony’s next-generation home system.
PS3 made up 15 per cent, leaving 27 per cent for Xbox platforms.
Of course, the PS4 version has attracted a lot of media coverage over the past few months. Creator Hideo Kojima himself has publicly stated he wants gamers to play the PS4 release, and it is now well-known that the game performs slightly better on the Sony console, running at 60fps/1080p.
