Borderlands 2 PS Vita bundle release date announced

Sony has announced the release date for the PlayStation Vita bundle for Borderlands 2.

Through the official PlayStation Twitter account, Sony took to the net with the official announcement:

Announced at GamesCom last year, the move to portable form will have some added incentives for adopters, including six of the existing add-ons for its console counterpart as well as an 8-gig memory card. The add-ons are:

-Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty

-Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage

-Psycho  Class

-Mechromancer Class

-Ultimate Vault Hunter’s Upgrade Pack

-Collector’s Edition Pack

Best of all, Cross-Save is supported, so saves can be transferred between the PlayStation 3 and the PS Vita in order to play the same save in multiple ways.

The Borderlands 2 PlayStation Vita bundle lands on store shelves May 6. If the attractive $200-price tag for the bundle doesn’t fit the bill or if the PS Vita is already owned, players can wait until May 13 to pick up the game on its own in physical or digital form.
