Square Enix has registered a domain for long-rumored sequel Just Cause 3, reports Superannuation.
The filing heavily suggests that we can expect some sort of official announcement on the game to drop soon, presumably at E3 in June.
Developer Avalanche Studios has been reported to be chiseling away on a new Just Cause title for some time now, though nothing official has ever been announced.
However, according to the LinkedIn profile of Avalanche’s Christofer Sundberg, the title will be released in June of next year.
“New installment in a very well-known game series,” it reads. “The game is being developed by Avalanche Studios New York studio and is scheduled for completion in June 2015 for next generation console platforms.”
Outside of a potential sequel to Just Cause 2, Avalanche is working on Mad Max for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
