According to French retailer Micromania (via GearNuke), The Last of Us Remastered will be bundled with PlayStation 4 alongside its standalone release this summer.
As previously reported Remastered has already been confirmed to launch around this time, though Sony hasn’t said anything in regards to a hardware bundle.
While the leaked document detailing the retailer’s plans is hardly an official source, it should be noted that it caught wind of DriveClub’s October 2014 release date as early as April 14 -- nearly two weeks before Sony announced it to the gaming press.
In addition, it also lists the Watch Dogs PS4 hardware bundle, as well as release dates for Borderlands 2 and Ratchet & Clank Trilogy for PS Vita (May 21 and July 2, respectively).
Could Micromania be on to something? It’s hard to say at this point, although it is entirely conceivable that Sony is looking to package the Naughty Dog post-apocalyptic adventure together with its latest home console. After all, The Last of Us is as good as any place to start your PS4 journey.
Stay tuned for more information as we get it.
