In a dash of news that won’t come as that much of a surprise to the gaming masses, Ubisoft has announced that its apocalyptic shooter ‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ will not see release until 2015.
Speaking via its blog the developer confirmed the widely-rumoured news, citing time constraints as one of the cornerstones behind the decision:
‘’Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready.’’
The ambitious first-person shooter was subject to speculation earlier in the year which pointed to a potential delay blighting the development – an insider report mentioned that the engine and size of the project were allegedly incompatible with a 2014 release date.
Still, a delay almost always has a silver lining as it allows developers to thread closer to the initial vision, delivering a finished project of a hopefully far higher calibre.
Don’t forget to give us your views on the delay below and as ever stay tuned to PSU for all the upcoming ‘The Division’ news.
