IO Interactive has revealed the first piece of concept art for the next Hitman game on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but confirmed that it won’t be showcasing the game at E3 2014 next month.
In a blog post, IO confirmed: "This location is set in Central Europe and you'll be able to explore the entire building you see in the image, inside and out. For a sense of scale, the building on its own is larger than any location in Hitman Absolution."
Though fans of the series may be disappointed that Hitman won’t be appearing at E3 this year, IO says that it’s not quite ready to reveal the game at this point.
"We're focusing all of our time and efforts into creating the best possible Hitman game. That's our number one priority and we don't want to divert valuable resources to show something before it's ready.”
The Hitman franchise first appeared in 2000 and has been the subject of six videogame releases and a movie. This latest instlamment will once again feature series’ protagonist Agent 47 as he roams around a sandbox environment taking out targets with a diverse range of gadgets.
