Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has indicated the publishing giant still has an announcement to make in regards to a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for 2014.
Quizzed by Geoff Keighley on the possibility of a new game for the previous generation of hardware, Guillemot replied:
“We will not leave the PS3 guys with nothing, so you will hear about that,” said the executive.
Ubisoft confirmed today that Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the next chapter in the multi-million selling franchise and the first to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will be released on October 28.
The game will also feature four special editions at launch, and includes co-op play for the first time in the series. Check out the latest screens here.
Assassin’s Creed Comet is the rumored PS3 and Xbox 360 title due out later this year, though nothing official has been announced as of yet.
