Namco Bandai released a new trailer at E3 2014 showcasing aspects of the story as well as the release date for Tales of Xillia 2.
The trailer begins with a very dark feeling with its silent-film-esque opening, and the remainer of the trailer lightly travels down a path between the two main protagonists and what they must overcome throughout what Tales of Xillia 2 will throw at them. Fans of the first Tales of Xillia will recognize Milla Maxwell in the trailer, but the sequel appears to include a great deal of new characters. Another significant difference appears near the end of the trailer, as the main character Ludger Kresnik appears to obtain a power similar to that of the Alter Powers from the anime S-CRY-ed.
The power of choice and the consequences of choice are what the context of the trailer is all about, and it's clear that the characters will have to face those choices one way or another. Take a look at the trailer and let us know your thoughts below. Tales of Xillia 2 will grace the PlayStation 3 exclusively on August 22 of this year.
