Naughty Dog has revealed that it is working to push its PlayStation 4 edition of The Last of Us beyond the 60fps barrier.
The studio’s Corrine Yu broke the news on Twitter as the esteemed developer clamps down on last-minute bugs ahead of the game’s launch next month.
“We are coding hard over the weekends with our Naughty Dog graphics team to push The Last of Us past 60 fps,” said Yu.
“After 4 days of digging around in CPU/GPU traces I finally figured out what was slowing us down. On to the next perf bug! #TheLastOfUs#PS4,” added Christian Gyrling.
The Last of Us Remastered is an enhanced version of last year’s celebrated post-apocalyptic horror game, featuring improved character, lighting, and sound effects, plus all DLC released to date.
Sony confirmed the game’s release date during its E3 presentation last Monday. The Last of Us Remastered is due out in the U.S. on July 29 and in Europe on August 1.
